You never expect you'll need burn care. But should you or a loved one suffer a burn injury, you can gain comfort in knowing that one of the nation's most advanced burn centers is located in your backyard at Lehigh Valley Health Network.

Every year at our Regional Burn Center, we care for more than 600 adults and children. That's three times the number of patients the average burn center sees. While we're driven to provide the best possible care, we can't do it without your support. Due to cuts in government funding for burn care, we need your help more than ever. You can trust that your donation will be used to enhance care, educate caregivers and fund research to discover innovative burn treatments.

Donations helped us create a state-of-the-art Regional Burn Center with 18 private rooms specially equipped to prevent infection. We are the region's only burn center with a full-time medical staff. We provide innovative wound treatments with less pain that result in improved cosmetic and functional outcomes.

Your support also helps us provide care in our Outpatient Burn Center. It's where patients receive care after they are discharged, and where patients with less severe injuries receive outpatient care.

Donations help us provide programs that give patients and families the emotional support they need following a burn injury. We also conduct community burn prevention programs to help decrease the number of fires and burn injuries.

I hope you and the people you love will never need the services we provide at our Regional Burn Center. However, accidents do and always will happen. That's why it's so important for you to offer support. Your generosity will ensure that the best possible burn care is available in our community now and for generations to come.

Yours sincerely,
Daniel Lozano, M.D.
Medical Director, Regional Burn Center
