‘Top Docs’ Recognition

Lehigh Valley, Pa. (Dec. 27, 2008)—Forty physicians who care for patients at Lehigh Valley Health Network were named to the 2008 “Top Docs” list published in the January-February issue of Lehigh Valley Magazine.

A rigorous screening process established by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., a respected health care research and information company, was used to select the doctors who appear on the list. Using mail and telephone surveys, and electronic ballots, a team of physician-led researchers asked regional physicians and hospital leaders to identify highly skilled, exceptional doctors. The team then researched the educational and professional experience of the doctors nominated by their colleagues, before selecting the finalists named to the list.

Castle Connolly compiles regional and national lists such as these to educate the public about doctors’ education, training and specialties. The list of “Top Docs” who provide care for patients at Lehigh Valley Health Network includes:
