About

Philosophy of care

I treat people the way I would want to be treated.

Why I entered medicine

I knew at a very early age I wanted to be a doctor. My mom, a nurse, inspired me. I had recurrent ear problems and loved both my pediatrician and my ear, nose and throat specialist. They were kind and treated me well, even when I needed surgery or had an emergency. These positive early experiences interested me in a medical career. I got interested in occupational medicine in 1994 by chance – I was a resident and asked to cover a vacation. I really enjoyed seeing employees and never looked back.

Community involvement

I am a volunteer admissions field force representative with the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. I have supported the Boy Scouts of America, the Leonard Pool Society and the United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley.

Personal interests

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my wife and three children. We like to travel. I also enjoy geocaching, home improvement and landscaping projects – anything that gets me outdoors. Professionally, I have an interest in cervical spine injuries. I had a neck injury and a herniated cervical disc several years ago that required surgery.
