About

Philosophy of care

I want to empower women by providing the most up-to-date medical information available, while presenting it in an understandable and relaxed way. I enjoy establishing relationships with my patients based on trust and a certain comfort level while we navigate their health and well being together.

Why I entered medicine

My fascination with the human body and medicine started early at the age of 6 after I underwent significant medical treatment for a congenital heart defect. From that day on, my dream was to help someone just like so many had helped me. I was drawn to ob/gyn early in my training specifically because of the wonderful relationships the specialty fosters between practitioners and their patients. I am fortunate enough to follow women through every aspect of their life… whether it is educating young woman about their bodies, sharing that moment of feeling your baby move for the first time, or navigating through the changes of menopause. I also love the fact that it encompasses office as well as hospital and surgical medicine.  

Personal interests

When not at work, I love spending time with family and friends, traveling, and listening to live music. I’m a passionate University of Michigan football fan and recently stumbled across my newest hobby (and stress relief), boxing. As a self-proclaimed foodie you can also find me in the kitchen, or out and about experiencing new restaurants (and old favorites) near and far. My most favorite place, however, is by the ocean with my toes in the sand.
