Philosophy of care

The philosophy best suited for urology is attention to detail. There are so many small details in the patient's history - physical exam, lab tests and radiologic studies that must not be overlooked to correctly provide care. I feel patients should be treated as one treats a family member - with love, consideration, patience and understanding.

Why I entered medicine

Medicine is field that allows you to take care of God's most precious gift - life. Urology in particular is a very interesting and all-encompassing specialty. The urologist is involved in every aspect of patient care, starting with diagnosis, medical treatment, surgical treatment and lifelong follow-up of many patients. Urologists treat a wide variety of disease processes that involve multiple organs, such as prostate, kidney, bladder, testicles, penis and urethra.

Community involvement

I have gone on several medical mission trips abroad (Brazil, Philippines and Haiti) where I was able to use my medical knowledge to help local people in dire need of medical attention. I also have had the privilege to work with the underserved population for the past 5 years and have learned about the many obstacles that exist in certain people receiving health care.

Personal interests

I enjoy spending time with my children, golfing, cooking, working out and going to restaurants with my wife.
