Your Care Team

No matter what their discipline, training, or clinical specialty—whether treating children, adolescents, adults or older adults—our behavioral health staff has one common goal: to provide treatment that blends the latest science with genuine compassion.

Here are the professionals who will do whatever they can to help you move your life forward:

Psychiatrists: Our licensed medical doctors specialize in the evaluation and care of people with a mental illness. All our psychiatrists are board-certified. Like all other doctors, they can prescribe medication and coordinate care with other medical physicians.

Psychologists: Our psychologists are doctoral-level practitioners who evaluate and care for patients in individual, family or group therapy settings. They perform psychological testing to help determine the best diagnosis and treatment.

Physician extenders: Certified registered nurse practitioners and physician assistants provide care to patients either in collaboration with or under the supervision of a psychiatrist. Their additional training allows them to provide psychotherapy and prescribe medications in a variety of our programs. Our clinical nurse specialists have a master’s degree in nursing and additional training that allows them to provide assessments and treatment.

Licensed clinical social workers: These professionals assess and treat people with emotional or mental disorders. They have master’s degrees and are licensed through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Psychiatric nurses: Psychiatric nurses are registered nurses (RNs) licensed in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania with additional education and experience in helping people with behavioral health problems.

Occupational therapists: Registered occupational therapists in our inpatient program evaluate patients’ problem-solving, stress management and interpersonal skills. They also assist patients in understanding and planning for their needs after leaving the hospital.
