Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program

Program Details

Our program’s curriculum is competency-based and consists of clinical rotations, continuity experiences and conferences. Adult learning practices are employed, utilizing a variety of teaching methods including group discussion, observed interviews, and role plays in dyads and in groups. Academic sessions are facilitated by a PhD trained medical educator with expertise in adult learning practices, and are highly interactive and learner centered. In addition, the fellows are given an opportunity to engage in scholarly activity and to teach other learners during the course of the year. As training progresses, each fellow is evaluated across ACGME competency domains.
