Lehigh Valley Health Network’s Wound Healing Center offers services at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest in Allentown, Pa., and Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg in Bethlehem, Pa. We use the most advanced treatments to heal the most difficult wounds, ulcers and sores. If you have diabetes or live with an ostomy, we provide education, care and support to minimize your risk of problem wounds. We are the longest operating center in the region, have a 90 percent healing rate and are certified by the American Academy of Wound Management. We will work with you, your doctor and your family to heal your wounds whether you are in the hospital or need outpatient care.

Hyperbaric medicine is available at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, home to two state-of-the-art treatment chambers. When delivered in a pressurized chamber, 100 percent oxygen greatly increases the amount of oxygen delivered to body tissues by the blood. The benefits from receiving this extra oxygen may include improved oxygen delivery to injured tissue, enhanced blood vessel formation, enhanced wound healing and improved infection control.
