Lehigh Valley Health Network is dedicated to providing high-quality, comprehensive cancer care for all patients. To further enhance our care, the health network recently received the following distinctions:
- We are the region’s only National Cancer Institute (NCI)-selected cancer center. This means we are one of 30 sites nationwide selected to participate in the NCI’s Community Cancer Centers Program. "NCCCP encourages multidisciplinary consultation, which brings cancer specialists together with a nurse navigator, the patient and family to develop an integrated evaluation and treatment plan in one visit," says medical oncologist Gregory Harper, M.D., Ph.D., physician director for NCCCP for Lehigh Valley Health Network.
- We recently announced a partnership with the Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute of Tampa, Fla. This means we are a member of the Moffitt Clinical Research Network, allowing cancer patients to participate in the most advanced clinical research trials.
