Care for Spondylolysis

Spondylolysis is a defect or small fracture of one or both wing-shaped parts of a vertebra. This can result in vertebrae slipping backward, forward or over the bone beneath it, sometimes causing back pain. Conservative treatment is usually successful, however, if slippage is severe enough to press bone on nerve (spondylolisthesis), surgery may be needed to correct the problem. Our neurosurgeons can assess your condition and develop the right treatment plan for you.
