How Our Care Compares Nationally
Learn how our quality of care measures up to other hospitals nationwide
At Lehigh Valley Health Network, we strive to provide you and your loved ones with the best care available. We continually measure our quality of care and we want you to know how we compare to other hospitals nationwide. On this site you can learn more about how we rate in four of our most critical areas: heart attack care, heart failure care, surgical care and pneumonia care.
Not only can you learn about the quality of care we provide, but you can compare us and find out what independent observers think about Lehigh Valley Health Network too. Many organizations rate our quality of care. For example, less than 3 percent of hospitals nationwide earn Magnet status through the American Nurses Association’s Magnet Recognition Program—we are one of those hospitals. We’ve also made the U.S. News and World Report rankings 16 consecutive years with a total of 34 specialty category listings in the past eight years including cardiology and heart surgery, cancer, gastrointestinal disorders, gynecology, orthopedics and respiratory disorders. In the Joint Commission's 2011 annual report on quality and safety, Lehigh Valley Hospital was recognized for attaining and sustaining excellence in heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia and surgical key quality measures.
Read on and you’ll discover why our patients have peace of mind, knowing they receive the highest quality care available.
