My name is Kathleen Pulice and I am a proud native of the Lehigh Valley. I grew up about 20 minutes from LVH-Cedar Crest in the small town of East Greenville. I am the youngest of three girls and grew up surrounded by animals and science, as my dad owns a veterinary practice in the area. I completed my undergrad education at University of Pittsburgh, where I studied biology. During undergrad, I had the incredible opportunity to spend a semester abroad studying global health in Argentina, South Africa, and China. This unique exposure confirmed my decision to pursue medicine and also helped convert me into an adventurous eater

After college, I spent two years working in infectious disease research at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore. Prior to medical school, I completed a master’s degree in physiology at Georgetown University. I attended Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine for my medical training. In between anatomy lab, lectures, and clinical rotations, I found my love for cooking and also spent a lot of time exploring Philadelphia’s restaurant scene.

I was fortunate to spend my third year completing my core clerkship training at LVHN. My time as a third year student, and later as a fourth year sub-I student, solidified my interest in OB/GYN and gave me lots of exposure to this incredible residency program! I was so excited to match at the institution that helped shape my career interests early on. The warm sense of community here at LVHN among residents, faculty, and staff has made the transition to residency so smooth. As a new resident, I am eager to contribute to medical student education since great resident teaching so greatly benefited me just a few years ago.

Now that I am back in the Lehigh Valley, I am very excited to settle in as a first-time homeowner. I love spending time in the kitchen with my fiancé and our new puppy, Chip. In my free time, I love reading, being outside, and spending time with my friends and family, especially my little niece and nephew!
