Gifts in Memory or Celebration

You can offer a special tribute in memory of a loved one or in honor of a caregiver

You may feel that words are not enough to express how grateful you are when a baby is born, a life is saved, or a terminal patient receives compassion and dignity at the end of life. One way many patients and families give something back is through a special tribute in memory of a loved one or in honor of a caregiver at Lehigh Valley Health Network.

A gift “in memory of” offers a lasting tribute to a loved one. The family is notified of all gifts made in memory of someone.

A gift “in honor of” your doctor, nurse, caregiver or even an entire unit is a wonderful way to say thank you. Not only will your generosity touch the person you are honoring, it will enhance the services Lehigh Valley Health Network provides. The person you are honoring will be notified of your contribution.

Gifts made “in honor of” or “in memory of” are examples of how you can support the hospital. You also may make a donation to Hospice to help with their mission to provide care, comfort and support to terminally ill patients and their families.

Should you wish to include this information in an obituary, here is some sample wording:

In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Lehigh Valley Health Network. [Please include a note stating that your gift is in memory of (name).] Checks should be payable to Lehigh Valley Health Network and mailed to:
