Lehigh Valley Health Network is proud to care for our community with our Lehigh Valley Reilly Children's Hospital, which encompasses 28 pediatric sub-specialties and services such as the region's third busiest Children's ER, a pediatric intensive care unit, Level III neonatal intensive care unit, pediatric sleep centers and more.

The ideal applicant will have at least nine months of acute care RN experience in his or her specialty of interest.

At Lehigh Valley Hospital, pediatrics is a growing and vibrant 32-bed unit caring for patients from newborn to 18 years old. The ability to experience and learn varied disease processes is extensive here. Our disciplines include hematology/oncology; respiratory disease, as we are the regional cystic fibrosis center; general surgery; level 1 trauma center and regional burn center.
Our normal nurse-patient ratio is 4:1, and beds are hard-wired for cardio-respiratory monitoring. A new wing of the pediatric unit will have six beds of low-level monitoring that will accommodate a higher level of care, with a 3:1 ratio.
We have a pediatric residency program supervised by our board-certified pediatric hospitalists. A pediatric physician is on site 24/7. Our highly skilled team consists of RN’s who are PALS and APHON certified. A recent aggressive initiative for CPN certification for eligible RN’s resulted in a nearly 20 percent increase of certified RN’s.
Our average daily census will continue to increase with the expansion of the pediatric emergency room operation to 24 hours.
