Lehigh Valley Health Network's (LVHN) comprehensive health and wellness benefits support your physical, emotional, financial, social, spiritual, intellectual, environmental and occupational wellness. Benefits are available to all eligible colleagues. Select benefits also are available to eligible dependents on the LVHN Health Plan.

My Total Health provides comprehensive health and wellness offerings designed to support LVHN colleagues’ physical, emotional, financial and social wellness. Health and wellness coaching, stress and weight management and other programs are available.

  • My Total Health Incentive Program. This program makes feeling good fun with rewards and prizes for engaging in eligible wellness activities.
  • Health Coaching. Certified and board-certified wellness coaches will work with you one-on-one wherever you are on your wellness journey. Book free, confidential and telephonic appointments with your health coach at mth.lvh.com.
  • Chronic Condition Support. Clinical Health Coaches are available to work with LVHN Health Plan members who have been diagnosed with hypertension, diabetes, asthma, coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease to help elicit healthy lifestyle changes to make these chronic conditions easier to manage. This service also is available to spouses on the LVHN Health Plan. Eligible participants can message their clinical coach at MyLVHN.org
  • BeneQUIT Tobacco Cessation. Your BeneQUIT tobacco treatment specialist is ready to meet you where you are in your quit journey and help to prepare and guide you along the way.
  • Health Assessment. A health assessment provides a snapshot of current health based on responses to a questionnaire, which covers topics of physical and emotional health as well as overall lifestyle and future risk.
  • Action Plans. Action plans boost your chances for success in making healthier choices and offer guidance for how to prepare for change, take small steps toward a goal and measure progress.
  • Wellness Challenges. Join fun health and well-being challenges which create a renewed sense of connection, healthy competition and motivate and support you to reach your goals.
  • Worth the Weight. Our weight management program takes a unique approach, focusing on the cognitive aspects of weight management and how to look at eating in a new way.

  • Wellhub (formerly Gympass), Greater Valley YMCA, Pocono YMCA and HUSK Wellness offer discounted access to gyms, fitness classes and memberships and wellness apps for colleagues.

  • Free and confidential help for family problems, grief and loss, depression and anxiety, substance use disorder and more is available from Preferred EAP.
  • A partial program treats concerns preventing you from managing activities of daily living. You can reside in your home and attend programming daily, Monday-Friday, until your program stay is complete. Please speak with your primary care provider about submitting a referral.   • The Peer for Peer (P4P) support program includes a team of physicians, advanced practice clinicians and pharmacists. For more details, LVHN clinicians and pharmacists can contact Rory_L.Marraccini@lvhn.org.
  • The Secondary Stress Response Team provides support when you and your colleagues experience a high-stress event.   • LVHN behavioral health services provide a safe and comfortable place where you or your loved one can overcome life’s challenges. Visit the behavioral health page to learn more.
  • An EMS/Prehospital Medicine point person assists in support referrals for first responders. LVHN colleagues can contact Jason.Knight@lvhn.org.
  • AFSP Healing Conversations offers free visits from local facilitators for survivors of suicide loss. Request a visit.
  • Empowered Relief is a skills-based, single-session class to help people experience less pain intensity, better sleep and lower stress. LVHN is the only health network in the region with certified instructors. To learn more and register for upcoming sessions, visit the webpage.

Support groups open to the public

  • Families in Recovery meets monthly, once at LVH–Cedar Crest and LVH–Muhlenberg. Email Holly.Maddox@lvhn.org or Amy.Iobst@lvhn.org to register.
  • The Survivors of Suicide Loss Support Group is for adults who have lost a loved one to suicide, whether recently or in the past.
    • The group meets in the Solutions Salon next to the LVH–Cedar Crest auditorium.
    • Facilitated by two survivors of suicide loss, the support group serves as a safe space for you to talk about your emotions with others who have faced a similar experience.
    • The main goals of the group are to support attendees in their healing and foster hope. 
    • The group meets on the third Thursday of every month from 7-8:30 p.m.

Explore mindfulness-based stress reduction courses through LVHN Center for Mindfulness.

  • Preferred EAP offers a 45- to 60-minute experiential introduction to mindfulness. It is led by teachers from the Center for Mindfulness.
  • Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction is an eight-week program that can help you recognize how stress affects your life and teach you ways to manage it. The program comprises eight 2.5-hour sessions and a full-day retreat.
  • Introduction to Mindful Eating teaches you about mindful eating, a practice in which you can rediscover the joy of eating for nourishment and pleasure. When you are aware of your habits of eating, you can more easily honor your health, hunger and fullness. In this one-hour interactive class, you will learn about what mindfulness is and how it can be applied to eating. Mindful eating can restore a positive relationship to food and eating.
  • Introduction to Mindfulness in the Workplace teaches you simple methods to practice mindfulness at home and in the workplace. In this one-hour interactive class, you will learn to integrate moments of mindfulness throughout your day. You will gain simple but powerful tools to return your attention to the present moment with curiosity. These mindful moments enable you to wake up to your life and live more fully.
  • Introduction to Mindful Communication helps you practice mindfulness and explore how it impacts communication. In this one-hour introduction, you will understand how, with mindfulness, you can become a good listener to yourself and others. We can recognize “signals” when ease is present between us and when it is disrupted. This will give you clues about how to foster safety in relation to others, a fundamental building block of mindful communication.
  • Introduction to Mindfulness and Self-compassion teaches you about the practice of offering yourself kindness and care during moments of stress. It is an innate human capacity which many of us have not developed. Self-compassion is an important building block of resilience. In this one-hour introduction, you will practice mindfulness and explore its connection to self-compassion.

  • The organization development (OD) department offers a variety of leadership development opportunities to help you to continue to grow and develop. The OD team offers courses on Crucial Conversations, Leading and Working Remotely and Health Care Finance. OD also partners with Northampton Community College to offer Essentials Development sessions and the Career Ignitor programs. These programs are open to colleagues with management approval.   • Certificate programs in management, customer service and administrative professionals are provided. This is open to all colleagues with management approval.
  • LVHN’s Academic Career Consultant provides personalized academic advising, information on education discounts available through partner colleges and universities, and details on LVHN’s tuition reimbursement program. LVHN colleagues can email Heather.Semple@lvhn.org to learn more.
  • Tuition reimbursement benefit and free academic advising are available for undergraduate degrees for eligible colleagues through Edcor.

  • Resources and assistance from Navigate help take control of student debt.
  • LVHN colleagues can connect with an adviser at Corebridge Financial Services to design a customizable retirement plan. With their assistance, colleagues can use tools and calculators to understand current financial status, plan for the future and get on track.
  • LVHN colleagues can save for college expenses and plan for your family’s future with a tax-advantaged 529 College Savings Plan.
  • During Open Enrollment each year, LVHN offers a voluntary benefits package, including accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, identify theft, legal plan and pet insurance.

LVHN offers family building benefits. These include:

  • Egg freezing/fertility preservation for LVHN Health Plan members at risk for premature ovarian failure as a result of systemic disease or other clinical treatment, determined by prior authorization requirement
  • Pre-implantation genetic testing (PGT) to assist with identifying the most viable embryo for transfer
  • Adoption support through increased adoption reimbursement for eligible colleagues
  • Surrogacy support through reimbursement for eligible colleagues

  • Each fall, LVHN’s pet adoption assistance program contributes up to $250 toward a qualifying rescue pet adoption. The program typically launches in September and details are shared on LVHN Insider.
  • LVHN’s Colleague Caregiver Coordinator helps colleagues identify and access child and dependent care.
