The spectrum of a woman’s life touches every age. From adolescence and your first period through motherhood and menopause, your health is a constant partner—a partner that can enhance or detract from the enjoyment of your unique life.

As you pass through these ages and stages, turn to the women’s health services team at Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) for guidance and care. Our physicians and medical staff have the expertise, compassion and experience to help find the cause of conditions that may affect your day-to-day life, or identify ways to understand and practice prevention so that certain avoidable conditions may never happen to you.

Whether you are experiencing gynecologic problems like abnormal periods or an overactive bladder, or you are concerned about your risk for heart disease or breast cancer, the women's health services team will offer suggestions, solutions and steps you can take to enjoy the healthiest life possible.

Gynecologic health

Woman iconOur goal is for you to always feel secure and comfortable discussing any concerns you have about reproductive, gynecologic or sexual health. We offer complete and sensitive gynecologic care at convenient locations in Lehigh, Northampton, Berks and Carbon counties and can address menstrual and menopausal concerns, fertility problems, as well as women's continence and pelvic health issues.

Pregnant womanThe obstetrics team at Lehigh Valley Health Network will help you throughout your entire pregnancy and delivery experience. Our physicians and support staff will provide comprehensive and skilled care for you during your pregnancy and delivery, as well as offer breastfeeding and postpartum support. At delivery time, our Center for Mother and Baby Care at Lehigh Valley Hospital—Cedar Crest will bring together an entire team of maternal fetal medicine specialists, advanced practice clinicians and nurses who will provide total care for you and your baby.

Mom and daughter iconWhen it comes to the health and well-being of a child, parents will go the extra mile to ensure their child has the best care. Fortunately, you don’t need to travel far to reach the region's only Children’s Hospital where you will have access to physicians, pediatric specialists and child wellness experts who are prepared to find the answers you need and provide the care your child needs.

Whole body health

Whole-body healthYour overall health is the sum of many interrelated parts. The women’s health services team will coordinate the care you need to address the entire spectrum of those parts, including bone health, breast health, cancer care and weight management. Whether you want to understand your risk for developing a health problem, such as being screened for osteoporosis, or want to improve your odds of beating cancer by enrolling in a clinical study, our doctors and support staff will help manage the care you need to achieve your health goals.

Of special note: a woman's heart.
HeartThe stages of a woman's life, such as pregnancy or menopause, not to mention metabolic conditions or genetics, can greatly affect your heart and vascular systems. We want you to take good care of your heart and we can help you, whether you are at the beginning of the journey to heart health and wellness, or well on your way. While all LVHN cardiologists care for women, we also offer a Women's Heart and Vascular Program led by three female cardiologists with expertise in treating women with heart disease: Deborah Sundlof, DOAmy Ahnert, MDEllina Feiner, MD, Nidhi Mehta, MD, and Yasotha Rajeswaran, MD
