About Dr. Ahnert
Philosophy of care
I believe that quality medical care must involve a comprehensive, compassionate and patient-centered approach. Besides providing excellent medical care, I believe the doctor/patient relationship can afford a significant therapeutic health benefit. This relationship often must involve significant others and family members, and relies heavily on empathy and compassion.
Why I entered medicine
I chose to go into medicine because of early experiences in my life. I had a sister with a rare genetic disorder, and at a young age, I was extremely affected by the type of care she received, both negatively and positively. I was inspired to become a physician and provide compassionate, quality care.
Personal interests
I enjoy cycling, skiing, running and yoga.
