About James M. Liott

Philosophy of care

My goal is to help relieve your pain and symptoms so you can return to activities you enjoy. This is accomplished by releasing muscles or nerve entrapments and improving joint mobility with soft tissue techniques and chiropractic manipulation. Each patient is different and therefore your treatment will be unique to you. Once free of symptoms, rehabilitation through therapeutic exercises is needed to decrease the likelihood of reinjury or return of your symptoms.

Why I entered medicine

I was interested in sports and fitness as a teenager. i went on to study exercise and sport science at Pennsylvania State University. Through Penn State internships with chiropractors, i was exposed to a form of alternative health care that appealed to me. I witnessed how chiropractic care provided relief to patients and coincided with a healthy lifestyle. Over the years, I have worked with physical medicine and rehabilitation physicians and orthopedic spine surgeons with the goal of improving the quality of life for our patients.

Community involvement

I have treated triathletes at the IRONMAN World Championship in Kona, Hawaii as part of the volunteer team for that event.

Personal interests

I enjoy many outdoor activities, but my main interest is mountain biking.
