About Dr. Schiavone

Philosophy of care

I very much enjoy the patient-physician relationship. I believe it is important to listen to you carefully and make sure you feel that your questions are answered. I will transparently share information with you, which will help us to formulate goals for your care and build our partnership.

Why I entered medicine

I truly don’t know why I entered medicine. When I was five years old, someone asked me what I wanted to be and I said, “A doctor.” Obviously, I had no great insights at that time. However, with my family’s support I became a doctor, and it turned out that I really enjoy taking care of patients. Becoming a doctor has been a wonderful blessing in my life.

Community involvement

I’ve been lucky to have opened my home many times over the years for people in need. I found it very rewarding and the experiences will never be forgotten.

Personal interests

What I enjoy the most is spending time in nature – walking on the beach, exploring a forest, hiking through a field, going fishing, or going just about anywhere outdoors with friends. I also play basketball with some friends weekly.
