About Dr. Eckhart
Philosophy of care
I always strive to put your needs first. What works for one person is not always the best choice for another. I also want to make sure you understand all the information provided to you. Then, a decision can be made from a combination of my professional recommendation and your personal needs.
Why I entered medicine
I was drawn to audiology because communication is the basis of human interaction. When there is a communication breakdown, people can begin to feel isolated. My family and friends are what make life so enjoyable to me. Therefore, my goal is to help you or your child hear so that they can continue to easily communicate with their own family and friends, stay involved with the activities they enjoy, and have the best chance of success at work or in school.
Throughout graduate school and internship, I spent time providing free hearing screenings and hearing-related education to the public. The biggest message I try to get out: Protect your ears! Most types of hearing loss are permanent. Always wear ear protection when in dangerously loud environments (like a concert or riding a lawn mower).
In my spare time, I love exploring my new home of Bethlehem by trying new restaurants, hiking trails, and enjoying all the history the town has to offer. I also love to cook, take care of my plants, and read a good book.
