About Lauren E. Lusardi
Philosophy of care
I am committed to providing excellent care to you and your family. This includes advising you fully and honestly about all aspects of your vision and general health.
Why I entered medicine
I became interested in health care at a very young age. It was a combination of getting my first pair of glasses in elementary school and being obsessed with the late-90s TV show "Trauma: Life in the ER." While emergency medicine was not my final calling, my passion for ocular health and vision never faltered. We as optometrists can increase our patient’s quality of life through both corrective lenses and the ability to diagnose and manage other ocular conditions that may impact their overall health.
My volunteer work includes multiple medical missions to Central and South America, as well as to rural areas in the southern United States. I work with Girl Scouts on the Vision Awareness badge. I am a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a member of the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians and the American Optometric Association.
I am a lover of thriller and murder mystery fiction. Also this summer I had daylight saving time to thank for helping me reach my goal of running 1000 km (about 620 miles). My long-term goal is to qualify for the Boston Marathon. After I am done cheering on my New York Giants, you can also find me trying my hand at the latest trendy craft project.
