About

Philosophy of care

Participating in the most intimate care of the women in this community has been both an honor and a privilege. Everyone who sees me knows "women taking care of women" is both my motto and my passion. I enjoy getting to know the whole you as my patient and constructing a plan of care custom fit to each of your specific needs. No woman should ever have to feel ashamed or embarrassed about urinary incontinence and I strive to provide a comfortable environment to discuss a rather uncomfortable reality. It is with utmost respect for the daughters, mothers and grandmothers of our community that I plan on continuing to provide this specialized area of care for the rest of my career.

Why I entered medicine

I knew by age 10 I wanted to play a part of the whole process of "delivering babies." I also wanted to be a mother myself and decided the physician assistant (PA) profession would allow me to do both without sacrificing either. Shortly after getting married I found out I had some infertility issues, and in 2006 I got the opportunity of a lifetime to join the Pocono OB/GYN Group. I had the pleasure of assisting many women in this community in their journey to becoming a mother and in 2010 I got to experience that for myself as well.

Community involvement

I have participated in a few talks over the years as part of the Spirit of Women and Spirit Girls campaigns to better educate the women in this community on gynecologic and sexual health.

Personal interests

When not at work, I spend most of my time with my husband, my son and our dog. We enjoy watching movies, playing board and card games, and traveling to New York most weekends to visit with our families.
