About Dr. Yoo
Philosophy of care
My goal is empowering you to take an active role in improving your level of function and overall health. As your doctor I can coordinate an experienced team to help you progress through ambitious yet achievable goals. Ultimately, my hope is you being able to manage the functional aspects of your ailments independently. To deal with symptoms and issues beyond your control, I will identify the appropriate medication, assistive technology/equipment, caregiver assistance, intervention, or surgical management to best address those issues, as well as find you access to solutions.
Why I entered medicine
I entered medicine because I believe physical and mental health is more important to quality of life and happiness than most anything else. It is most rewarding to me when I am able to play a role in not only seeing patients through a medically, functionally and emotionally difficult time in their lives, but also am able provide the tools and education they need to manage their impairments successfully and get back to truly living their lives and pursuing what fulfills them.
I participate in charity events to promote health and wellness such as the Strength 2 Thrive Walk for Suicide Prevention and the American Diabetes Association Tour de Cure Bike Ride. I have also played a role in promoting adaptive athletics and recreation.
When not working I enjoy cooking, music, CrossFit and strength and conditioning.
