About Dr. Kjellberg
Philosophy of care
As a general surgeon, I believe in the importance of versing myself in my patients’ unique personalities and situations. Using a holistic approach, I take into consideration your concerns and/or questions, discussing with you various options to come up with an individual treatment plan that is right for you.
Why I entered medicine
Initially, I was drawn to the field of medicine and surgery predominantly because of the academic and technical aspects. As I became personally involved with patients, I grew to value the ability to be a part of a profession focusing on patient care.
Community involvement
I served in Operation Iraqi Freedom as a trauma surgeon with the U.S. Army Reserve.
Personal interests
Whether at home or vacationing, my wife and I enjoy quality time with our four daughters, capturing the memories as they grow up. On par with my hands-on personality, I’m always coming up with new projects to do in and around the house. When not spending time at home, I take to the road, touring on my Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
