About

Philosophy of care

As an obstetrician-gynecologist, I believe it is very important to partner with patients in helping them make some of the most life-changing decisions they will ever face.  From navigating through a pregnancy, to choosing whether or not to pursue medical versus surgical treatment, I strive to treat each patient as an individual and as if they are members of my own family.

Why I entered medicine

I wanted to be a physician for as long as I can remember.  As the child of two educators, I learned the importance of working hard and developed an early love for math and science.  Throughout my life, I observed various aspects of the medical field and knew that becoming a physician would afford me the opportunity to have a major impact on people’s lives.  Obstetrics and gynecology was a perfect fit for me as the field gives physicians the opportunity to form long-term relationships with patients as well as have the honor of caring for them and their families at some of their most vulnerable times.

Personal interests

Spending time with family, singing, swimming, spending time at the shore, and traveling, especially to Disney World with family and friends.
