Philosophy of care

I believe in being the resource to empower my patients to become active participants in their care.

Why I entered medicine

In my 17 years of nursing, I've been fortunate to work with some amazing physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants who inspired me to pursue becoming a nurse practitioner. I found as I became more experienced as a nurse, I wanted to learn more about the physiology behind my patient's illness or injuries and the rationale for various treatment options. Becoming a nurse practitioner seemed like a natural fit because it has allowed me to use my nursing background as a foundation for my future practice as a nurse practitioner.

Personal interests

I enjoy spending time with my family playing games and golfing. I also enjoy exercising and reading.
