Beth A. Brooke, CPA, has been a member of the Lehigh Valley Health Network Board of Trustees since 2021. She also is a member of the Lehigh Valley Hospital Board of Trustees. She is the retired Global Vice Chair of Public Policy for EY, a globally integrated professional services network with more than 275,000 employees in 150 countries and revenue exceeding $35 billion. In this role, she brought together different stakeholders and perspectives to formulate strategic public policy initiatives. She also served as EY’s National Director of Tax Advisory Services and led its National Insurance Tax practice.

A CPA and Fellow in Life Management Institute (FLMI), Ms. Brooke has a comprehensive understanding of corporate governance, finance, accounting and auditing, and insurance. During the Enron accounting scandal, Ms. Brooke played a pivotal role in restoring confidence in the six largest global professional services networks and their role in the capital markets. Earlier in her career, she worked at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, where she was responsible for all tax policy matters related to insurance and managed care.

Ms. Brooke serves on the Boards of eHealth, Inc (a FinTech public company that provides a leading private online health insurance marketplace), Beta Bionics (a certified B corporation dedicated to changing the lives of families dealing with Type 1 diabetes), Tricolor Holdings (a provider of auto finance and financial inclusion for those who are credit invisible), and SHEEX, Inc. (a private company that has transformed the bedding industry by creating bedding made of high-performance athletic fabrics). She serves on or chairs the audit, nominating and governance, and regulatory committees for these organizations. She also serves on the boards of the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee, Vital Voices, The Partnership for Global LGBTI Equality, Aspen Institute, The Conference Board, Out Leadership, and G100 Women’s Advisory Council.

Ms. Brooke has been named 11 times to the Forbes list of the "World's 100 Most Powerful Women” and is in the Financial Times “OUTstanding” LGBT Hall of Fame. She is passionate about women’s sports and founded the EY Women Athletes Business Network. Ms. Brooke is a graduate of Purdue University, where she played intercollegiate basketball, with a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management/Computer Science. She has honorary doctorates from Purdue University, Indiana University and Babson College.
