Bryan G. Kane, MD

Bryan G. Kane, MD, a member of the Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) Board of Trustees since 2023, is President of the LVHN medical staff. He is a member of the Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH) and LVH–Hazleton Board of Trustees as well as the LVH–Schuylkill Board of Directors. He joined LVHN in 2002, is a member of the emergency medicine department and practices clinically at LVH–Cedar Crest.

Dr. Kane earned a Bachelor of Science at Yale University. He received his medical degree from University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and completed a residency in emergency medicine at Yale-New Haven Hospital where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Kane is board-certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine. He is a Professor of Medicine at LVHN/University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine.    

Dr. Kane is a member of LVHN’s COVID-19 Treatment Team and the Department of Emergency Medicine’s Research Committee. He is an Associate Program Director in the Lehigh Valley Hospital Emergency Medicine Residency program. He is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. He also is active in the Pennsylvania College of Emergency Physicians, the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine, and the Council of Residency Directors. He has published numerous peer reviewed articles, case reports, electronic publications, book chapters and abstracts, and frequently presents nationally. His academic work has been recognized with numerous institutional and university awards.  

Active in the community, Dr. Kane serves on the Occupational Advisory Council for Lehigh Career and Technical Institute’s Emerging Health Professionals program. He has received awards for his volunteer work with Boys Scouts of America and is a volunteer coach for Southern Lehigh Middle School’s track and cross-country teams.      

Kathleen Kane, MD, his wife, is Medical Director of the LVH–Muhlenberg emergency department.  They have lived in Center Valley for more than 20 years and have three children: Alex, Will and Ellie.
