Ms. Kaplan is Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer for Lehigh Valley Physician Group (LVPG). She has spent the last 30 years in various health care settings including public health, non-profit community organizations, hospital/service line roles and practice leadership positions. Ms. Kaplan has spent a significant amount of her career dedicated to investing in patient-centered care, service excellence and human capital.

As Chief Administrative Officer, Ms. Kaplan leads all LVPG operations, working closely with LVHN leadership and LVPG’s Chief Medical Executives, Chief Medical Officers and clinical leaders to evolve LVPG’s service lines.

She cultivates a culture of engaged colleagues and providers focused on patient-centered care and clinical excellence within a value-based framework. She collaborates with LVPG colleagues to identify opportunities to enhance care coordination throughout LVHN.

To ensure LVPG is staffed to meet patients’ needs, she leads efforts to provide professional development for existing colleagues and recruit new colleagues. Additional responsibilities include strategic operations, financial performance management, outmigration and acquisitions, all leveraging her passion for operational improvement, integration of successful standard work and breadth of experience.

In her previous role as Vice President of Operations, LVPG, Ms. Kaplan's leadership scope included areas of community practices, OACIS/palliative medicine, geriatrics, Lehigh Valley Topper Cancer Institute, endocrinology, infectious diseases, bariatrics, neurology, psychiatry, emergency medicine/hospital medicine and pediatric specialties.

Ms. Kaplan was the operational lead for LVPG’s ambulatory response to COVID-19. Her dedication, commitment and effective management helped craft key community resources for patient care.

Ms. Kaplan joined LVHN in 2006 as Administrator of the Department of Medicine. In that role, she had direct and indirect oversight of nearly 600 physicians and advanced practice clinicians in 19 divisions, incorporating educational programs, research and quality.

Ms. Kaplan earned a master’s degree in health care administration/management from Central Michigan University.
