Ms. Brooks is the Ambulatory Chief Medical Information Officer for Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN). Her focus includes oversight of ambulatory implementations and optimization of technology in collaboration with LVPG leadership.

Ms. Brooks joined LVHN as a registered nurse in the open-heart unit in 1995. A few years later, she became certified as a nurse practitioner and began her career as a primary care provider at LVPG Internal Medicine, where she continues to see patients.

Over the past decade, she has been involved in informatics and has taken on the role of Lead Provider Champion for the Epic ambulatory implementation. She was integral to the build, workflows, support, optimization and overall success of Wave I of the Epic project.

Her effective leadership throughout this implementation led to Ms. Brooks assuming the role of Associate Medical Director, Medical Informatics, and subsequently the additional role of Associate Medical Director for LVPG EMR Operations.

Ms. Brooks created the Ambulatory Thrive program and oversees the LVPG EMR Operations team which provides go-live support and ongoing personalization/optimization resources for ambulatory provider colleagues. In due course, she was promoted to Associate Chief Medical Information Officer as her scope of informatics work broadened. She continues to be a fundamental driver in optimization of Epic through platforms such as Specialty Content Committees, Clinical Collaboratives and the Ambulatory Super User Program.

Her most recent promotion to Ambulatory Chief Medical Information Officer has cultivated even more growth within her scope as she continues to disseminate her knowledge constructively to her ambulatory provider colleagues.
