Voluntarily allow the collection and banking of ALL cells and germline DNA specimens from children for future research. Patients with suspected relapse of their ALL will have a bone marrow test to see if that occurred. At the time of that bone marrow test, the researchers will collect extra bone marrow (1 to 2 teaspoons) to be stored for future research studies.
Patients less than 31 years of age at the time of initial diagnosis of ALL
Adequate bone marrow or peripheral blood specimens
Patient has ALL at first or subsequent marrow relapse with greater than or equal to 25% blasts in the bone marrow and/or peripheral blood
No systemic anti-leukemic treatment has been administered for the current relapse
