COG #D9902 Soft Tissue Specimen Banking Study (PRO00000606)

Full Name

Specimen Banking (COG #D9902): A COG Soft Tissue Sarcoma Diagnosis, Biology and Banking Protocol

Description

The specimens for this study will come from the tests and procedures that are part of regular cancer care for patients with rhabdomyosarcoma and nonrhabdomyosarcoma soft tissue sarcoma. No extra procedures will be done. The study will collect: 1) tumor tissue from routine diagnostic and treatment procedures, such as biopsies, when they were first diagnosed and if the tumor returns; 2) about 2 extra teaspoons of blood and 1 extra teaspoonful of bone marrow (will be collected at the same time as the routine testing); and 3) information about the participant. In addition, the researchers would like to keep any leftover specimens for future use.
