Clinical Trial:

Chronic Hepatitis Long-Term Follow-Up Study (PRO00002808)

Full Name

A Long-Term Follow-up Study to Evaluate the Durability of Virologic Response and/or Viral Resistance Patterns of Subjects with Chronic Hepatitis C Who Have Been Previously Treated with MK-5172 in a Prior Clinical Trial

Description

If you agree to participate in this research study, you will visit the study doctor up to 11 times depending on which parent study you initially participated in. This study does not provide treatment. You will be asked to visit the study center every 6 months after the screening visit. When you come in for your study visits, the study doctor or staff may do any or all of the following to measure if MK-5172 is working and/or to monitor your health: provide you with a subject identification card; review your medical history; perform a physical examination; measure your height and weight; collect blood samples (may be used to determine if you have relapsed [return of detectable HCV in your blood]; if you have relapsed, some of your blood will be used to identify the genetic makeup of your virus; and if you have relapsed and the amount of virus in your blood exceeds a certain level, some of your blood will be used to see if you have forms of the virus that are resistant to MK-5172); and discuss any serious adverse events (side effects) you may have experienced. There is also an optional future biomedical research sub-study.
