Pharmacy Residency Application Process

Eligibility

Applicants must be licensed or eligible for pharmacist licensure in the state of Pennsylvania. To be eligible for pharmacist licensure, applicants must be graduates or candidates for graduation from an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)-accredited degree program (or one in the process of pursuing accreditation) or have a Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination Committee (FPGEC) certificate from the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP).

Use the Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS) to submit the following materials by Jan. 2:

  1. Letter of intent
  2. Curriculum vitae
  3. Official school transcripts
  4. Three references
    • Two references should be preceptors of clinical Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) rotations. If identification of two clinical APPE preceptors is not possible, we request references from preceptors who are able to speak to the applicant’s clinical skills.
    • References must use the Standardized Reference form available in PhORCAS.
  5. Register with PhORCAS and the National Matching Service.

Applicant review will be performed by the residency advisory committee the week after the application deadline. Invitations for interviews will be sent via email shortly thereafter via electronic sign-up. The interviews will be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.
