Endoscopic procedures and testing
Through endoscopy, our clinicians perform valuable information-gathering tests, and in some cases, treatment, for gastrointestinal disorders anywhere in the GI tract. We offer a wide variety of minimally-invasive endoscopic procedures as well as procedures related to in-office testing.
An endoscope is a long, thin tube with a light and special camera at the end. It is a valuable tool clinicians use to examine structures in your body. During an endoscopic procedure, the tube is placed inside your body, through a natural opening or small incision, until it reaches the organ or area to be checked. The scope captures images of the organ or body part and displays them on a screen for the clinician.
Some endoscopes are equipped with channels that allow operating instruments so clinicians can remove tissue or perform surgery during an endoscopy. We perform many different endoscopic procedures and tests, completed in our offices. Learn more about them here.
