SummaryProvides financial and statistical information to management, staff, and external customers for all federal, state, and private grants in compliance with internal and external requirements by managing, monitoring, and accessing the organization's financial and other systems and analyzing and verifying the inputs and outputs to those systems.
Job Duties
- Prepares intermediate and advanced level Journal vouchers and other source inputs into the ledger for all LVHN Private, Pool Trust, and Government Grant (both Federal and State) activity including variance analysis.
- Manages the annual A133 audit of Federal Grants and any programs specific audits. Ensures reports are issued in accordance with schedule and results reflect a clean audit opinion.
- Coordinates and develops the annual operating budgets for all Private, Pool Trust, and Government Grant activities.
- Compiles budget files, financial statements, and variance explanations between Prior Year Actuals, Projected, and Current Year Budget.
- Prepares billings and reporting for Private, Pool Trust, and Government Grants. Resolves all customer questions and concerns with a customer service attitude.
- Identifies and resolves all required adjustments to ensure accounts are brought back into balance.
- Assists in the Lawson Software Financial Module testing during upgrades, patches, and/or new processes implementations.
- Prepares and distributes bills and reports in accordance with the billing schedule.
- Administers control checks routinely during the closing process to ensure accurate journal entries and financial statements.
- Prepares Journal vouchers/entries in accordance with internal policies and procedures, GAAP, and Healthcare Audit Guide.
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance.
- 5 years of experience in accounting.
- Proficiency with MS Office Products.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Physical DemandsLift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
