Our recently expanded hospital provides you and your family with the highest level of care

Our recently expanded Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, located at Route 78 and Cedar Crest Boulevard in Allentown, Pa., provides you and your family with the highest level of care. On the campus you’ll find:

  • The only Level I Trauma Center in the region with additional qualifications in pediatric trauma. Our trauma staff serves the residents of an eight-county area as part of Pennsylvania’s trauma system composed of 26 accredited trauma centers.

  • A Regional Burn Center for pediatric and adult burn patients. The 18-bed unit features a burn treatment room specially designed to prevent infection, control pain and promote healing.

  • Our Heart and Vascular Center has Pennsylvania's best heart attack survival rate. We are consistently named one of the country's top programs for heart care and heart surgery by U.S News & World Report. The Heart and Vascular Center is a regional leader in research in cardiology and cardiac surgery.

  • The fourth largest Cancer Center in Pennsylvania, which cares for more than 2,400 new patients each year. Our board-certified physicians are renowned pioneers in cancer research, treatment and prevention, using the latest technology such as the region’s only Gamma Knife Perfexion. We are also one of only 30 sites nationwide selected to participate in the National Cancer Institute Community Cancer Centers Program (NCCCP). This program supports an increase in the availability of clinical trials, promotes multi-disciplinary services for newly diagnosed cancer patients, provides patient navigators to coordinate care with the cancer treatment team, and decreases barriers to care for the underserved in our community.

  • A Joint Commission certified Primary Stroke Center. Modeled after a trauma team that pulls specialists together quickly, the stroke rapid response team ensures clot-busting medication used to treat stroke is administered within the critical three-hour window of the onset of symptoms.

  • A Level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), offering expert medical and surgical care for newborns and premature infants.

  • The region's only pediatric intensive care unit (PICU), a seven-bed unit devoted to the care of critically ill or injured children.

You’ll also find three new parking decks and valet service that makes parking convenient. Plus our new medical office building, The Center for Advanced Health Care, features heart and orthopedic specialists and a state-of-the-art neuroscience center.
