Our services

The Muhlenberg campus hosts these services and much more: Breast Health Services, cancer center, heart and vascular care, diagnostic services, rehabilitation, dental clinic, pediatric ambulatory surgery unit, adolescent psychiatry, Behavioral Health Science Center, emergency room and critical care

Located in the hub of the Lehigh Valley at Route 22 and Schoenersville Road in Bethlehem, Pa., Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg features all private inpatient rooms and a vast array of health care services. Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg is ranked No. 10 in the state by U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospitals list. 

Free valet parking is available at the main entrance – at the blue “H” – 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday (the last vehicle is accepted 4 p.m.).

If you have questions or need help finding your way, stop by the information desk in the main lobby. It is open 5:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. We’ll give you clear directions to your destination, and if you’re a visitor, we’ll provide your loved one’s room number and how to get there. If you get lost along the way, ask any employee for help.

The front doors to the hospital are locked at 11 p.m. daily; please enter through the Emergency Department waiting room during overnight hours.

Coming Soon – The Specialty Care Pavilion

Construction is underway on a brand-new, four-story, 161,000-square-foot Specialty Care Pavilion on the south side of the Lehigh Valley Hospital (LVH)–Muhlenberg campus. The new pavilion will deepen the hospital’s commitment to Growing Strong Families by bringing obstetrics and newborn services to LVH–Muhlenberg for the first time in the hospital’s 54-year history. The pavilion will be designed to accommodate about 2,000 births per year.

The new pavilion will include:

  • Obstetrics and newborn services on the second and third floors, including:
    • A mother-baby unit with 20 private patient rooms
    • An admitting-holding nursery for use during the admission process or for procedures
    • A Level II NICU with 10 private rooms
    • Eight labor, delivery and recovery rooms
    • Two operating rooms
    • Five obstetrics triage beds
    • A three-bay post-anesthesia care unit area
    • And a four-bed antepartum unit
  • A Center for Inpatient Rehabilitation on the first floor, providing patients a short period of intensive, hospital-based therapy following a serious illness, injury or procedure. It will include:
    • 28 beds
    • A therapy gym
    • A kitchen and suite where patients can perform activities of daily living
    • Specialized rehab equipment, including a harness patients can use as they learn to stand and walk again during recovery
  • Lobby space on the first floor, including a new gift shop, café, a children’s play center, private lactation rooms for breastfeeding mothers, additional rest rooms and an outdoor courtyard.
  • Shell space on the fourth floor for future growth.
