Lung Cancer Screening

(Must be 18 years of age or older)

The screening process

Lung cancer screenings are done with low-dose computed tomography (CT) scans. During the scan, you will lie on a long table and stay very still while a machine takes pictures of your lungs. You will be asked to briefly hold your breath a couple of times. It only takes a few minutes and is completely pain-free.

Insurance coverage

The eligibility guidelines above were recently updated. While they have been widely accepted, Medicare and some other insurance payers have until January 2023 to cover them. If you would like to schedule a lung cancer screening, it is best to confirm your coverage with your insurance provider prior to making an appointment.
