Why is screening important?
Lung cancer doesn’t often cause symptoms until its later stages. Regular screenings with low-dose computed tomography (CT) scans can find it earlier when it’s more treatable. The scans take detailed pictures of your lungs and show any suspicious areas that need further evaluation. Who is eligible?
To qualify, you must meet the following requirements:

Be age 50-80 and in fairly good health

Have a 20 pack-year smoking history*
Image
Currently smoke or have quit in the last 15 years
