Sarcoma is a cancer of the connective or supportive tissue (bone, cartilage, fat, muscle, blood vessels) and soft tissue. At Lehigh Valley Health Network’s cancer centers at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest and Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg, you’ll have the advantages of the latest advances in treatment. An orthopedic oncologist and surgical oncologist will be part of your care team. For soft tissue adult sarcoma, a medical oncologist also may be included. The approach to care for adult sarcoma is very different than for sarcoma in children.
The Lehigh Valley Cancer Institute is a member of the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Alliance, which gives you access to groundbreaking, lifesaving cancer care and breakthrough clinical research right here in the Lehigh Valley.
