About

Philosophy of care

I want you to feel heard. I believe in shared decision-making and giving you a voice to advocate for yourself within the realms of an evidenced-based practice. I want you to really understand your body and feel free to ask any question, knowing you will receive honest and nonjudgmental answers from me. I do not want you to feel like a number: I believe in personalized care aimed at treating the whole you and not just your conditions or lab work.

Why I entered medicine

I entered the medical field because I love science and wanted to help people, but choosing to specialize in women’s health was absolutely a calling. Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is such a personal area of medicine and some patients feel anxious coming to their appointments. I will always do my best to make you feel as comfortable in our office as possible. I genuinely love seeing my patients year after year, watching their children grow and caring for women across their full lifespan.

Community involvement

I have a special interest in mental health. I received a Perinatal Mental Health Certification from Postpartum Support International and am one of the founding members of the “WAVES” program within LVPG OB-GYN, which was developed in 2022 to help treat women struggling with their mental health during pregnancy and postpartum. I also love teaching and educate the next generation of physician assistants through lecturing and precepting students from several local universities. Finally, I am passionate about social justice and raising up those marginalized in our society. I serve as an active member of the OB-GYN diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) committee.

Personal interests

I love to cook and bake, garden, sew, read and do creative projects around the house. I like spending time outdoors hiking and visiting different national parks. I enjoy checking out local restaurants, seeing Broadway shows and traveling to new states and countries. Most of all, I am a proud wife and dog mom and love spending time with my little family.
