Ana Ignat, MBA, is Senior Vice President of Lehigh Valley Topper Cancer Institute, a position she held since 2023. In this role, she helps lead the Institute’s services by growing new sites and relationships, driving exceptional clinical quality and providing an exceptional patient experience.

Prior to joining Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN), Ms. Ignat served at Columbia University Irving Medical Center in New York City as Administrator, Hematology/Oncology, a division that has more than 65,000 annual visits. In this role, she partnered with the Chief of hematology & oncology in the design, coordination and implementation of all administrative and financial aspects of the division’s clinical, research, teaching and philanthropic activities. She was involved in Epic design and implementation, oversaw financial management of research projects, and directed all aspects of the budget process, finances, revenue cycle, staff development, credentialing, fellowship coordination, space management, capital equipment and more. She also served as the Administrator for Palliative Care Unit and was instrumental in the growth and expansion of the program.

Prior to Columbia, Ms. Ignat served at Montefiore Health System & Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City as Senior Unified Administrator, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Women’s Health. Accomplishments in this role include the redesign of the Epic bill area, the creation of a coding team to capture and correctly charge all professional charges, the consolidation of operations across eight outpatient facilities, the management of more than 70,000 square feet of clinical space and more.

Ms. Ignat’s career also includes service as Administrator for the Department of Neurological Surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine, and Administrator and CFO of various medicine and pediatric units at Columbia University Medical Center.  

Ms. Ignat received a Master of Business Administration from Columbia University Graduate School of Business. She received a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Chemical Engineering at Polytechnic University, Timisoara, Romania.
