Darnell Furer, MSN, RN, is a member of the Lehigh Valley Hospital–Schuylkill Board of Directors since 2017. She is the retired Vice President of Patient Care Services of the former Schuylkill Health System. She also is an Advisory Board Member of the Joseph F. McCloskey School of Nursing in Pottsville.

Ms. Furer earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Lebanon Valley College and her Master of Science in Nursing from Pennsylvania State University. 

Ms. Furer is a past Board Member of the Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce, Schuylkill Manor, Schuylkill Elder Abuse, Seton Manor, Hospital Association of PA Nursing Advisory and Pottsville Zoning Commission.
