Kristen Larimer, BA
Graduate Medical Education Coordinator, Endocrinology Fellowship Program Coordinator, Internal Medicine Residency

My name is Kristen Larimer, and I am the graduate medical education coordinator for the endocrinology fellowship program. In addition to endocrinology, I am one of the program coordinators for the internal medicine residency and the transitional year residency programs.
I have been a proud Lehigh Valley Health Network colleague since 2010. I have spent seven of those years working in graduate medical education. While health care was not my first career path, I can tell you it’s the field from which I plan to retire. Being a part of this program is very important to me. It’s a position that I value greatly and am incredibly passionate about. I love being involved in resident education and doing all that I can to make my trainees’ lives easier. I have a wide range of responsibilities in my role, but I enjoy the following things the most: recruitment events at medical colleges, recruitment season (there’s nothing I love more than meeting you all), managing the department finances, evaluation compliance and orientation onboarding alumni verifications. I’d say of all my daily tasks, the most rewarding responsibility I have is planning the graduation for our residents and fellows. There’s nothing I hold closer to my heart than watching our trainees learn and grow in our program, and then be able to plan the event you all look forward to.
I grew up in a small town in New Jersey before moving to New York. My husband and I settled in the Lehigh Valley and live here with our children and two German shepherds. I love all things outdoors, including walks, hikes, picnics, bike riding with my family and lounging on the beach in the Outer Banks or being poolside at home.
