- Administrative Residency Overview
The Lehigh Valley Health Network graduate administrative residency is designed to provide practical experience in an educational environment that will contribute to the resident’s growth as a health care professional. The opportunity is open to graduate students in the field of health care administration who are looking to complete an internship and/or the experiential learning component of their curriculum. We intend for this opportunity to be an in-person experience, but it may change to a virtual experience depending on the circumstances of COVID-19 in our community.
The summer administrative residency is structured to provide exposure to different areas of the Lehigh Valley Health Network as well as practical experience through dedicated project work to begin immediately upon the resident’s arrival.
Potential rotations could include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Patient Care Services
- Service Line Operations
- Hospital Operations
- Lehigh Valley Physician Group (LVPG)
- Finance
- Patient Access
The resident will participate in project work focusing on areas across the care continuum. Projects may include work in acute care, post-acute care, and ambulatory care settings.
Typically, the resident will begin mid-May and end in early August. However, these dates can be flexible. The resident will receive a stipend for the duration of the program. Housing is not provided.
