Keystone Travel Medicine
Keystone Travel Medicine is part of LVPG Infectious Diseases–1250 Cedar Crest located at the Center for Advanced Health Care at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest.
This practice is one of only 250 sites nationwide selected by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to administer the Stamaril yellow fever vaccine.
We provide complete travel health consultations by a provider with fellowship training in infectious disease and/or certification in travel medicine. Our providers customize recommendations on vaccines and travel behavior to reduce the risk for potential illnesses during your international travel. At the time of the visit, we can administer travel vaccines and provide prescriptions to be filled for any necessary medications. We are yellow fever vaccine-certified and now offer a cholera vaccine.
Common topics include:
- Food and water safety
- Malaria prophylaxis
- Traveler’s diarrhea
- Jet lag
- High-altitude precautions
- Mosquito precautions
- Emergency preparedness
- Immunizations
- Current outbreaks
Consultation and immunizations for the purpose of travel typically are not covered by insurance companies. However, we will make an effort to submit for reimbursement any vaccines we can, based on your insurance plan. Any fees not covered by your insurance are expected at the time of service. We accept cash, checks, American Express, Discover, Visa and MasterCard.
We welcome travel groups. Please call our office at 888-402-LVHN to speak with one of our staff to set up additional time and accommodations for your group. For frequently asked questions and more information, visit Keystone Travel Medicine.
