Thank you for your interest in being an LVHN Teen Volunteer. Applications will only be accepted during the dates listed below. Please review the program qualifications before applying.

The application process for our program at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Cedar Crest, Lehigh Valley Hospital–Muhlenberg, and Lehigh Valley Hospital–17th Street has closed.

The application process for our program at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Pocono opens March 26, 2019 and closes on April 9, 2019. 

The application process for our program at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Schuylkill opens April 16, 2019 and closes April 30, 2019.


Volunteer Application Form

Program qualifications

High school students must be at least 16 years of age by June 19 to be eligible for the 2019 program. Serious applicants should apply who are available during the weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. to serve four hour shifts two days per week. 

Please be sure your application is complete and accurate as the selection process begins with the application.

Teens are welcome to call 610-969-2850 if they have questions about the program. Please consider applying for the Summer 2019 session.

Volunteer perks

Meal allowance
As a volunteer, you will receive credit towards lunch in the cafeteria before or after your volunteer shift.

We offer free parking to volunteers at LVHN locations.

LVHN Fitness
Volunteers are offered a 50 percent membership discount at our state-of-the-art LVHN Fitness locations.

Recreational activities
LVHN Recreation Committee offers discounts to various sporting events as well as to businesses in the automotive, entertainment, hotel & resort, restaurants, and retail industries.

The intangible benefits of volunteering are numerous. Volunteers benefit from an improved sense of self-worth, brought about by the pride in knowing they have improved the lives of others. A sense of achievement and the fulfillment of making a difference in the community is invaluable and the rewards are far-reaching. Volunteers benefit from meeting new people, growing their skill set and gaining considerable experience.
