Many of our heart specialists have trained at the nation’s top heart programs. Our cardiac and thoracic surgeons are all board-certified, many having served fellowships or received additional training with leading programs. Our interventional cardiology specialists are experts at performing minimally invasive procedures, such as angioplasty or stent placement. For patients with heart rhythm irregularities, such as atrial fibrillation (Afib), our electrophysiologists have the expertise and tools to precisely identify the location of the electrical abnormality and treat it.

What Sets Us Apart
Comprehensive and innovative treatments: Lehigh Valley Health Network was the region’s first to perform Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) and is recognized as a center for performing complex mitral valve repair surgery. We lead the region in the lifesaving technology including ECMO and have specialized programs in women’s heart health, sports cardiology, advanced heart failure technologies, peripheral vascular and venous care and rhythm disturbance care.
