Colin Ellis
Physical Therapist

Hello, my name is Colin Ellis, and I have been a physical therapist with Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN) for nine years, spending the last three years as a rehabilitation clinical specialist. My time with the network has been spent exclusively in the adult outpatient neurologic rehab division.
I was born and raised in Northampton County and completed my undergraduate studies at East Stroudsburg University, graduating with a degree in biology before transitioning to graduate studies at Drexel University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program.
I achieved my DPT in 2016 and joined LVHN shortly after. The network’s emphasis on clinical mentorship, evidence-based practice and supplemental technology to optimize the experience and outcomes for the neurologic patient has cultivated my passion for high-intensity, functional rehabilitation.
In 2023, I became a board-certified clinical specialist in neurologic rehabilitation. I have a strong clinical background treating patients with multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, neuromuscular disease and lower limb loss. I also have a research interest in high-intensity gait training in patients recovering from stroke.
I live in South Whitehall township, spending time with my wife, Averi, and our two children, Casey and Rosalie. I’m a passionate Philadelphia sports sufferer and a dreadful but determined golfer. I love frequenting area parks, listening to music much too loudly and exploring local restaurants and breweries.
